How Simple Pump Works
The Piston Rod Design
Unlike suction pumps that can only lift water 25 feet, Simple Pump uses a positive displacement design:
- Cylinder assembly sits below water level
- Piston stroke draws water up through drop pipes
- Check valves maintain water column between strokes
- Pump head at surface delivers water
Each pump stroke moves a fixed volume of water regardless of depth (though deeper installations require more effort).

Shallow Well Suction Pump
- Maximum depth: 25 feet at sea level
- Installation: Surface mount, away from well
- Ideal for: Shallow wells, springs, cisterns
Inline Dual-Pump Valve Assembly
- What it is: Component that lets one well run a solar submersible and your Simple Pump without switching valves
- Pairings: Approved WORKHORSE Narrow Series pumps (W2H-5-200, W3H-6-500)
