The photo shows a pump with the 36" handle — and a 24" held next to it, for comparision.
The regular 24" handle is an excellent choice for most wells. The incredible pumping efficiency, given by many elements of the design plus the CNC-machining, means the Simple Pump is a very low effort pump. A child can literally pump the water quite easily, even from a fairly deep well.
But some readers may need to go deeper. Our new 36-inch handle will allow you pump from around 350 to 400 feet!
The basic design is extraordinarily durable. But because the pump would be lifting greater amounts of water when used in very deep well, and, therefore, would be subject to greater loads at the pivot points, the new arm incorporates special graphite-impregnated bronze bushings to increase wear potential even further.
